The ruling Democratic Progressive Party DPP is said to be slowly becoming unpopular especially in the southern region where many argue it has been their stronghold.
This has been said upon assessment of the just ended by elections results in which DPP only managed to win one ward out of total 3 constituencies and 3 wards a development that has caused continuous shaking of hornless heads by the rulling party officials.
For Example in Makata ward in Ndilande Blantyre an area which has been previously well known to be DPP, people in the by_elections voted for an MCP candidate beating his main contender from the ruling party.
The analysts however have said this should not make opposition parties feel destined and relax thinking that their political position is safe for elections but should maintain the fight and never underrate their ruling party.
